California native Ryan Ellis has been preparing for this moment his entire life. Sharing his songwriting talents to pen songs such as “Resurrection Power” by Chris Tomlin, which earned him a GMA Dove Award nomination and ASCAP’s “Most Performed Song” award in 2018, he’s also written for Matt Redman, Natalie Grant, Meredith Andrews, Housefires, and more. Accolade, however, is not the fuel of Ellis’s fire. “I’m a devoted husband and father first,” he says. “I have a deep love for Jesus and the way that songs draw people in to experience Him, to be inspired and encouraged and ultimately to let them know that they are loved. Music is the language that everyone can understand, and it’s all I know how to do.”
Loving music for as long as he can remember, it was when Ellis joined the Navy after high school when he reconnected with Jesus, realizing that his voice and songwriting are his connection to faith.
