Hope on the Radio for Kelowna

Across Canada, thousands of people listen to UCB Radio each day for uplifting music, encouraging conversations, and reminders that God is with them.

Soon, that same voice of hope could be heard across Kelowna and the Okanagan.

UCB Radio has been approved to launch 88.1 FM in Kelowna, bringing worship music, prayer, Scripture, and encouragement to the community 24 hours a day.

But you don’t have to wait.

365 Days of Hope

When the Kelowna station launches, it will bring encouragement, worship music, and the message of Jesus to the Okanagan every single day of the year.

To make that possible, we’re inviting people to help sponsor the first year of radio.

Each day of broadcasting costs about $1,000.

So we’re looking for 365 people, churches, businesses, and families who would be willing to sponsor one Day of Hope.

When you sponsor a day, it can be dedicated:

  • In honour of someone
  • In memory of a loved one
  • To celebrate a milestone
  • Or simply to help bring hope to the community

Your dedication will be shared on air, with a message like:

“Today’s programming is made possible by the Smith family, helping bring Christian radio to Kelowna.”

Imagine knowing you helped make a day of encouragement possible — a day when someone driving to work, sitting in a hospital room, or struggling through a difficult moment hears exactly the hope they need.

Will you sponsor a Day of Hope?

Launching the station will require $365,000 to cover the first year of broadcasting.

Generous early supporters have already begun stepping forward — and 57 Days of Hope have already been sponsored.

That means 308 days are still waiting to be filled.

$1,000 — Dedicate a Day of Radio

Or give any amount to help bring UCB Radio to Kelowna.

What Listeners Across Canada Are Saying

Hi there, This is my first time listening to UCB radio today. I felt sorry for myself when this song came on that truly spoke to me. I was meant to hear that song, and it changed the course of my day.

Hi my name's Cruz, hi my name is Hugo. I like UCB radio because it has songs that I like and I like it because it encourages me sometimes when I'm not feeling that happy. Hi my name is Luna. I like UCB Radio because it has awesome songs. And I like how we talk about Jesus and God. We listen about every morning and sometimes in the afternoon

Without radio it doesn't get there. So this an important thing for us to get behind. Hey this is Chris from Rend Collective. I just want to talk to you about the importance of Christian Radio. You know, we hear stories all the time about how the Holy Spirit is meeting people in their cars, in their houses while they're dancing in the kitchen and it's all thanks to radio. Without radio it doesn't get there. Our songs just won't get out there. We believe that our songs are filled with the word of God, most of the choruses are just taken directly out of scripture. So this an important thing for us to get behind, while they're doing this fundraising drive I just absolutely encourage you to lean into what UCB is doing.
Chris

Enjoy a Brighter Day with UCB Radio!
