Someone takes a few minutes to tell us about a person or family they care about.
Last Christmas, listeners introduced us to some incredible people. Then UCB Radio, local businesses, churches and community partners came together to make Christmas a little brighter.
Who can I nominate?
There isn’t one kind of story we’re looking for.
You might know:
- A family walking through an especially difficult season
- Someone dealing with illness or an unexpected hardship
- A single parent carrying a lot right now
- Someone grieving the loss of someone they love
- A friend, neighbour or coworker facing financial challenges
- Someone who is always helping everyone else and could use some encouragement themselves
- Someone whose circumstances are completely different, but who could really use some hope this Christmas
If you thought of someone while reading this, don’t talk yourself out of it.
You don’t need to know exactly what they need. You don’t need to have the perfect words.
Just tell us about them.
What is Hope Together This Christmas?
Christmas can be a wonderful time of year. But when life has been difficult, it can also make the weight people are carrying feel even heavier.
That’s why each Christmas, UCB listeners introduce us to people and families in their communities who could use some extra hope and encouragement.
Then we get to work.
UCB Radio joins together with generous local businesses, churches and community partners to create meaningful Christmas surprises — meeting practical needs, creating special moments and reminding people that they are seen and cared for.
We can’t choose every person who is nominated, but every story matters.
And it all starts with someone taking the time to tell us about a person they care about.
