Celebrating School Wins And Little Victories
Congratulations! It was hectic, but we’ve made it through the first week of school! I’m sure that some days were more successful than others...
Read moreMany charities have had to close their doors during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Center. But that has not stopped them from caring for the vulnerable - the unborn babies, the newborn babies and the pregnant mothers.
Executive Director, Heather Tapp cares deeply for those whom she serves in the community. She recognizes that during isolation, pregnancy or having a newborn in your home is even more challenging. Especially if the pregnancy is unplanned and you do not have the support of family or community.
Heather and her team are using all safety precautions and modern technology to help those who are in crisis at this time.
"Even though the office is closed, we are here for you," says Heather. "We are taking phone calls, answering emails and responding to your messages on our HERE FOR YOU Facebook page. We also want to help by offering diapers, baby wipes, and formula at our special 'sanitized - COVID-19 free- shelf', just outside our office."
They are doing everything they can to support those in crisis right now.
Normally, this time of year marks the Baby Bottle Drive, a countrywide fundraiser where families gather their change and fill a baby bottle, donating the contents to their local Pregnancy Center. This year, the fundraiser is more vital than ever, but it will look a little different. Instead of filling an actual baby bottle with your loose change, they are asking you to fill the Virtual Baby Bottle by giving online.
When you support our local Pregnancy and Family Care Center, you are helping many vulnerable women and children.
