While tidying up the other day, I came across a dusty old tote filled with printed photos. My first instinct? Close it up and move on. But something gentle—maybe my heart or maybe the quiet voice of faith—urged me to open it. And I’m so grateful I did.
In our digital world, we snap endless photos and store them in the cloud, but there’s something deeply powerful about holding a printed photograph in our hands. It’s not just an image—it’s a moment, frozen in time, that feels more real and more lasting.
As I flipped through those old photo lab envelopes, I was flooded with memories from the past. Smiling faces, familiar places, and moments I had almost forgotten came rushing back. And the most amazing thing? I lived those memories.
It reminded me how important it is to pause and reflect on the past—not to dwell, but to remember how far we’ve come. Through each photo, I see God’s hand in my journey. These snapshots are more than just pictures—they are quiet reminders of love, growth, and blessings.
Why do we so often dismiss the past just because it’s “over”? Those experiences shaped us, taught us, and brought us to today. That box of photos reminds me to give thanks—not just for where I am, but for every step that got me here.
Gratitude is a powerful force. It grounds us in faith and opens our hearts to joy, even in the simplest things—like an old photo that makes you smile.
I decided to mail some of those photos to my “besties”. After all, what better way to relive beautiful moments than to share them with the people who were there? A little piece of the past, wrapped in love and sent with gratitude.
These small acts—rooted in faith and thankfulness—remind us that blessings are meant to be shared. Sometimes, the most meaningful gifts aren’t bought or planned. They’re rediscovered. Remembered. Passed on.
