It’s that fun time of year again! When little superheroes, princesses, and maybe even a few Bible characters head out with candy buckets and big smiles.
Here at UCB Radio, we love seeing families enjoy time together to make moments full of laughter, joy, and maybe a few peanut butter cups too! As we celebrate the sweetness of the season, it’s also a great time to keep a few simple safety tips in mind.
Add a little glow to your night! Reflective patches, glow sticks, or a trusty flashlight make it easier for drivers — and you — to spot your little ones as they go from door to door.
Younger kids should always have an adult with them, and older ones should stick with friends and plan out a safe route before heading out. Together really is better!
Stick to homes of people you know or neighborhoods that are well-lit and welcoming. If the lights are off, it’s best to skip that house and move along.
Before diving into all that candy, take a minute to make sure everything looks sealed and safe. When in doubt, it’s okay to toss it out.
As you share smiles and sweets, remember that we’re called to be lights in the world. Whether you’re out trick-or-treating or greeting families at your door, a kind word or warm smile can share the love of Jesus in such a simple, meaningful way.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
Have fun, stay safe, and let your joy shine as bright as your flashlight this trick-or-treat night!
From all of us at UCB Radio, we’re wishing you a wonderful evening filled with laughter, sweet moments, and reminders that God’s goodness is truly the sweetest treat of all.
